Be My Translator Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the app “Be My Translator” provided by Be My Translator LLC, and the website www.bemytranslator.org (hereafter collectively referred to as “these services”).
Information Collection and Use: We respect your privacy and are committed to protect it. If you choose to use these services, your email address will be stored to identify you in these services, but will not be publicly visible. We may use this information to contact you regarding feedback you send, or in response to a problem or inappropriate behavior in these services. We do not share this information with third parties, except as necessary to operate Be My Translator (i.e., to send email or other notifications through providers of such services). Additional information you set up in your user profile (such as display name and language abilities) may be visible to other users.
Cookies: We may use cookies on our website to determine the number of users and analyze our website usage. If you choose to log in to our website, session cookies may be used to identify you on subsequent visits. We do not collect personal information through cookies.
Data Deletion: You can delete your Be My Translator account within the Be My Translator app, or by emailing info@bemytranslator.org from the email address associated with your Be My Translator account, with a subject line of “Account Deletion.” After you have initiated account deletion, all data stored about you by Be My Translator LLC will be deleted.
Facebook Data Deletion: If you have used the “Continue with Facebook” option to sign in to Be My Translator, you may delete any Be My Translator app-related data by visiting the “Apps and Websites” section of “Settings” in your Facebook account at https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications&ref=settings and then clicking “Remove” on Be My Translator.
Communication with Other Users: These services provide the ability to communicate with other users, including via video and audio calls. These communications may be recorded and monitored for quality control and training purposes, but will never be public or shared with third parties (except as defined below in “Disclosure of Information”).
Access Log and IP address: We use an access and error log to record site activity and analyze problems. The log contains the user's IP address, which is kept private.
Advertising: We have no external advertisements in these services, and do not implement any advertising tracking methods.
Disclosure of Information: Be My Translator LLC may disclose user information or communications from within these services if required in response to judicial process, to law enforcement agencies in connection with an investigation on a matter related to public safety.
Updates: This Privacy Policy may be amended at any time.
Be My Translator Terms and Conditions
By using Be My Translator, you agree that:
- - You are at least 18 years of age.
- - You will only use these services for purposes directly related to spreading the restored gospel as taught by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
- - Calls may be monitored for quality control and training purposes.
- - Your email address will be stored to identify you in these services, but will not be publicly visible.
- - You use these services at your own risk.
